Chukwu is now on Shopify.

Orders from your store join the same queue, and your stock count goes back to Shopify.

[ THE NEWS ]

What is new

Chukwu now connects to Shopify. Orders from your online store come into Chukwu Core and join the same queue as your wholesale orders from JOOR, EDI and email. Your team picks them in Chukwu Pick like any other order.

Stock goes the other way. Chukwu keeps the count of what is on your shelves and tells Shopify how many of each item you can sell, so the store shows the same number as the shelf.

[ HOW IT WORKS ]

How the sync works

Connect your storeConnect Shopify to Chukwu Core and choose which of your locations feed each Shopify location.
Orders come inEach Shopify order lands in Core with the rest, checked and ready to pick.
Stock goes outWhen the count on your shelves changes, Chukwu sends Shopify the new number for each item.
[ ONLY WHAT YOU CAN SELL ]

Samples stay off the store

Shopify only sees stock meant for sale. A showroom’s samples, rep kits and closets are never offered.

Chukwu counts 14 navy sweaters in the warehouse and Shopify shows 14 for sale; 12 black ones on a showroom rack show as 0, because samples are not for sale
[ THE NUMBER ]

How Chukwu works out the number

For each item, Chukwu starts with the units free on the shelves of the locations that sell. It takes off what open orders already need, wholesale and online, and any buffer held back. What is left is what Shopify can sell, and it is never below zero.

Only the numbers that changed are sent, all together, so Shopify hears about every change without being sent the whole catalogue each time.

[ ORDER CHANGES ]

When an order changes in Shopify

Orders change after they come in. A customer cancels, an item is edited out, a refund goes through, an address changes. Chukwu reads the order again and follows the change.

What a change can do depends on where the order is. Before picking, the order simply updates. During a pick, the picker is told to stop and the stock goes back on the shelf. After the order ships, the change is flagged for your team instead of being made. A cancelled order can never be picked or shipped.

[ COUNT ONCE ]

Count once, then keep it

Tag your stock and count it once with Chukwu Pick or Floor. After that, picks and moves keep the number true. With smart shelves, a lifted item changes it in about a second.

[ WHY IT MATTERS ]

Why it matters

When the store and the shelf disagree, you sell what you do not have or hide what you do. Both cost sales, and the usual fix is another count.

With one count kept by Chukwu, a store sale and a wholesale order come off the same stock, so neither sells what the other already took. That is how stock accuracy holds between counts.

Questions

Does Chukwu replace Shopify?

No. Shopify stays your store. Chukwu runs the stock and the orders behind it.

Which locations feed Shopify?

Warehouses, unless you choose otherwise. You can say which of your locations feed each Shopify location. Showroom samples, rep kits and closets never do.

What if an order is cancelled during a pick?

Pick stops that order and the stock goes back on the shelf.

Do I need smart shelves?

No. A count with the phone is enough to start. Smart shelves keep the number true between counts.
