How the sums work
Counting and looking: the people who count or look for stock, times their hours each week, times 52 weeks, times what an hour of work costs.
Full recounts: the recounts in a year, times the people on each, times the days it takes, times eight hours a day, times the cost of an hour. A full recount after a new sheet is often the biggest line.
Lost stock: the items lost or written off each month, times twelve, times what an item is worth. That is your shrinkage.
What changes the total
Counting time drops when the count keeps itself. With smart shelves, the shelf reports what is on it, so nobody counts the floor by hand.
Recounts after a new sheet drop to a pull list: Chukwu Floor compares the sheet with the shelves and lists only what has to come off.
Lost stock is seen the moment it leaves the shelf, while someone can still find it.

Questions
Where do the numbers come from?
From you. The sums run in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
What counts as counting time?
Any time spent counting stock, checking it against a sheet, or looking for an item.
Can I send my numbers to the team?
Yes. Use Send us my numbers and the team answers with what would change on your floor.
Is an hour of work just the wage?
Use what an hour really costs you: the wage plus benefits and overhead.
