CV1 sits under each shoe on the wall and reads its tag. Lift a shoe and its slot turns red on every screen in about a second; put it back and it turns green. When someone is looking for it, its light turns blue.

Pair pad
The pair pad sits under a pair of shoes or a boxed item and reads its tag, so the map knows the moment it leaves the shelf and when it comes back. Nobody counts it by hand.

Shelf strip
The shelf strip runs along the front of a shelf. Each section reads what sits on it, so the shelf keeps its own count, and lights up to show a picker exactly which spot to go to.

Cart bag
The bag drops into any shopping cart. Pickers drop each item in as they go and the bag reads it against the order: blue when it is right, red the moment a wrong one goes in, before the cart leaves the aisle. Pick plans the walk, so the cart takes the shortest way round.
